Enumerator Training for Customer Satisfaction Survey and Real Demand Survey in PDAM Delta Tirta Sidoarjo
PDAM Delta Tirta Sidoarjo, with supports from USAID IUWASH PLUS, conducted an enumerator training for the customer satisfaction survey and real demand survey on May 7, 2019 in Sidoarjo district.
The training was held as part of PDAM’s measures to improve and expand its services because starting from 2019 PDAM Delta Tirta will receive bulk water supply from Umbulan spring managed by East Java PDAB (municipality bulk-water company) of around 1,200 liter per second. PDAM Delta Tirta plans to use the bulk water to serve at least 100,000 new customers.
During the training, the participants discussed various topics, which included strategy for the customer satisfaction survey and real demand survey implementation, how to use mWater for the surveys, questionnaires to be used during the survey, and the division of enumerators’ working areas.
The participants also had a chance to practice using the mWater for data collection and monitoring.
“The mWater is helpful for monitoring the enumerators’ data collection progress and it shows real-time results,” said Rudianto, a training participant.
After the training, the enumerators will conduct the customer satisfaction survey and real demand survey to around 2,000 customers starting from May 8–18, 2019.
The survey locations had been decided by PDAM and USAID IUWASH PLUS prior to the training.
Around 30 people, included the PDAM staff who are also the survey enumerators and USAID IUWASH PLUS, participated in this training.
